In the 80's many names of main Italo Disco artists were ascribable to two people: Aldo Martinelli, composer, performer, vocalist, arranger and coproducer and Simona Zanini, author of the lyrics, lead and background vocal. The distinctive sound born from the unique harmony between Aldo's music and keyboards and Simona's voice flooded the dancefloors and radios all over Europe under the names of:
Martinelli, Moon Ray (alias Raggio di Luna), Doctor's Cat, Topo & Roby
the first Radiorama hit, "Chance to Desire" was also signed by this duo and sung by Simona
Busily pouring out their captivating melodies and rhythms, they remained at work in the recording studios, while different models with different stage names were signed up once the songs systematically climbed the charts, to lip sync on TV shows, a common practise in those days.
Their true names were known by the supporters of their success: the DJs playing their records in disco clubs and the amateurs of the made in Italy dance music, close readers of cover credits.
The ghost singer and performer acclaimed by fans all over the world are back and they teamed up again to release more new music, this time out in the open.
